APPLICATION
Mineral Insulated Cables offer a lifetime, ageless and fireproof electric cable solution that are used to protect essential ‘lifecritical’ circuits in:
• High Rise Buildings
• Tunnels
• Airports
• Towers
• Mass Rapid Transit Systems
MICC Mineral Insulated Cable – Material Construction
• An outer sheath consisting of a continuous seamless copper tube with a melting point of 1083 deg C
• A magnesium oxide insulant with a melting point of 2800 deg C
• 99.9% electrolytic copper conductors with a melting point of 1083 deg C
ADVANTAGE
• Pliable
• Mechanically superior
• Fireproof
• Waterproof
• Explosion Proof
• Radiation Resistant
• Lighter in weight
• Can operate in low temperatures
We supply the full range of LSF (Low Smoke & Fume) outer coverings.
Used for identification purposes where cables are run on the surface of walls or cable trayplates. They are usually Red in colour for fire protection, or the standard Orange. We can also supply a range of other colours on request.
