British Spec AAAC Conductor BS3242 Aluminum Alloy High Strength Transmission Cable
APPLICATION
AAAC is used as bare overhead conductor for power transmission and distribution lines on Arial circuit that required larger mechanical resistance than AAC. AAAC also has better sag characteristics and a better strength to weight ratio than AAC.AAAC cables have lower weight per unit length and slightly lower resistance per unit length than ACSR.
Product Construction
AAAC cable is a concentric lay-stranded bare conductor consisting of Aluminum alloy 6201-T81 wires available in both single layer and multi-layer constructions.
Product Specifications
AAAC cable meets or exceeds industry requirements per BS3242
Product Features
AAAC cable offers better sag performance due to the high strength to weight ratio provided by the 6201-T81 alloy.
